Ray is President and CEO of Katabat, and sits on Katabat’s Board of Directors. He brings 25 years of diverse consumer lending experience to Katabat, having held executive leadership roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, Capital One, Citibank, and MBNA. Ray’s prior expertise in consumer credit and lending underpins a clear vision and understanding of the challenges faced by Katabat’s clients in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Ray received a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where he is currently Chairman of the MBA Alumni Advisory Council. Ray enjoys time with family, triathlons, and will ski wherever and whenever possible.

Ye cofounded Katabat in 2006, he serves on the Board and continues to enjoy creating technology solutions to solve business problems. Ye’s deep experience in artificial intelligence, banking and internet technologies have and continue to shape Katabat’s product development and evolution. Prior to Katabat, Ye worked for Bridgeforce and Ensuredmail, Inc. Ye received a BS and Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sichuan University. He also has his Master’s and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. Ye is an avid technologist and has published multiple conference and journal articles in the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence.

Arthur, a Certified Information Security Manager, is responsible for the strategy, oversight and management of Katabat’s Information Security, Privacy & Technology Risk programs. Prior to joining Katabat in 2012, he was Vice President, Technology at BlackRock. His diverse background includes enterprise systems administration and management, consulting as well as academic research. Arthur is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) as well as the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Arthur received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike leads Katabat’s North American business and brings more than 25 years of experience in banking, software, and software sales to the Katabat team. Prior to Katabat, Mike held a variety of leadership positions at Experian, Swift Financial (now PayPal), and MBNA (now Bank of America).

Mike completed an undergraduate double major at the University of Delaware and holds diplomas in consumer, commercial, and mortgage lending.

Mike enjoys spending time with his family, boating, motorcycling, running, and volunteering.

Samar has vast experience developing enterprise solutions with cutting-edge technologies. With more than 15 years of expertise in software development, Samar has guided Katabat’s engineering teams, both in-house and offshore, in building scalable infrastructures and robust, yet easy-to-use applications and APIs. Before joining Katabat, Samar was a software engineer at various tech firms including Malvi Systems where he worked with top-tier news and entertainment clients.

Samar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India.

Ely joined the Katabat team in 2009 bringing 15+ years of business development and operations experience. Ely has held a variety of leadership roles within client delivery and product management. Prior to Katabat, Ely spent 15 years at MBNA in a variety of roles within business development and marketing. After MBNA, Ely was a founding member of a credit card start-up, responsible for establishing all operational process for their growing affinity portfolio. Ely studied Business Management at Wilmington University. Ely enjoys spending time with her family and attending all of her children’s activities. She’s known as the loudest member of their cheering squad!

Alison Sorel is a Product Manager and VP of Collections Solutions Strategy at Katabat. Alison is responsible for our Machine Learning product offering in addition to partnering with the broader product team on our Simplification and Innovation initiatives. In her 20 year career in financial services she has served in roles in Credit Risk and Collections managing Strategy, Analytics, and Business Line Technology. Alison has a BS is Statistics and Biometry from Cornell University. When not working, Alison can be found in Connecticut going on adventures with her husband and two sons.

Alex Western is Managing Director of Terminus Capital Partners, a business software private equity firm. Previously, Alex was an MD at software PE firm ESW Capital and an analyst at hedge fund GMT Capital. He began his career at McKinsey & Co. and Audax Private Equity. Alex received his BA from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Phil Siegel is a Managing Partner of Tritium Partners, a growth-focused private equity firm. Prior to co-founding Tritium, Phil was a General Partner at Austin Ventures, where he spent 14 years launching and building the growth equity practice; a Partner at BCG; and a senior analyst at BBDO. Phil received his BA and MBA from the University of Chicago.

Chris Steiner is a Principal of Tritium Partners. Previously, Chris was CFO at a POS software company, an investment professional with Austin Ventures, and a manager in Transaction Services at KPMG.
